Tuesday 19th MayLooks like a pretty good turn out planned for Tuesday. Liz, George, Tracey, Shelagh have all said they'll be there plus hopefully the usual Tuesday crew and maybe a few more?
According to the schedule it will be "Reps Session B"
1 mile warm up
(3x6mins fast with 2 min rest) + (3x1min fast with 1 min rest)
1 mile cool down
Benefit: Speed for 10k-Marathon (marathoners may want to add a rep or two).
Description: This is quite a tough one as 6 mins seems to drag on and on while 2 mins rest flies by. 3x sprints at end is designed to simulate a fast finish at the end of the race.

We're in Glasgow tomorrow (for #1 daughter) and sadly won't be back in time. We're also in Newcastle on Thursday (for #2 daughter) so likely we won't be back in time for this week's Comrie run either. Hopefully, next week we'll be able to make both.

6 of us out tonight. Liz, nursing her calf, Jim, allergic to speed sessions and George, needing miles for his forthcoming marathon (!), did the 10k route in swamp-like conditions. Fiona and I along with prospective new member, Tony completed the designated speed session of 3x6mins followed by 3x1mins.
I for one have not done much speed-work lately and found it pretty tough going, but we all agreed it was good to do this sort of training with others to keep the motivation going.
