The Mighty DeerstalkerRan this on Saturday- managed to come 13th out of 833 entrants. It's a great race which I think would strongly appeal to fellow Strathearn Harriers. Competitors are encouraged to wear tweed, I donned a token flat cap, but plenty of runners were wearing the full tweed regalia- deerstalker cap, tweed jacket and plus fours! It's essentially a 10k hill race with some extra stuff thrown in- waist deep river crossings, crawling through tunnels, under cargo nets and such like. The race starts at 17:30 and finishes up in the dark and is followed by an evening of real ales and live bands. Definitely an event we should consider for next year!
