The Madness Spreads to the Old & InfirmJust so the ultra-fit and completely brain-dead runners in this club don't think they have a monopoly on dying so others may live, Judith & I (otherwise known as the Quick & The Dead or the Knee-dy and the Needy) have entered the Diet Coke East Kilbride Half Marathon on June 21st to support Action Aid. We aim neither to bottle it nor get canned.
Since we're apparently in The Harriers Season of Giving (thought Christmas had that monopoly..), feel free to completely ignore this post on the grounds you've already sold your children for medical experiments to support other members' good causes. On the other hand, if you've found some loose change down the back of the sofa, feel free to shove it at us at http://www.justgiving.com/colintipping. You never know, it might do more good than spending it on Ralgex.
We'll still speak to you if you do ignore this - so possibly that's worse....

Hi Colin. just tried following the link and it didn't work for some reason. Managed to find the page by other means but thought i'd mention it anyway.

Sorry about that, folks - it is there, honest - mysteries of technology.
Anyway, we've also created a page directly on the Action Aid website (since we didn't know we could when we set up the Just Giving one). If anyone's desperate to chuck something at it, the link is www.myactionaid.org.uk/colin_judithtipping then click on the 'East Kilbride Half Marathon - 21 June 2009' link.
Thanks to all those who've already contributed despite the glitches - it's much appreciated.

Just checked that the myactionaid.org.uk link works by banking a cash donation from George - given whilst drinking in the Comrie Hotel. I confirm it's not necessary for donors to get drunk before parting with their hard-earned money.
Thanks again to all donors.
