Pollok 10k- Sub 40 achievedThe Pollok 10k was yesterday- a very wet affair which saw a lot of wading through large puddles ankle deep. There were some last minue changes to the course due to floods.
However despite this I did it in 38.45 which is a PB- I am so chuffed. Finally I have gained the sub 40 even a sub 39 -therefore I can now put this obsession to bed and move onto other races.
Any claims that it was in fact a bit short of 10k will be strongly refuted- GPS watches can be wrong too.
The result stands

Fantastic Allan. Really well done. Not only sub 40 but sub 39!!
If I was being mischievious I would be asking what about a sub 38.
Probably best to move onto other things though as you say.

well done!hi allan,
I am very pleased for you! I know how much you've wanted to do it and all training has paid off! We'll expect a really good time at the crieff 10....
I'm not likely to do a sub 40 for a while as I've had about 9 weeks or so off as back in March I got pneunmonia and cracked a rib from the coughing!! so only just started running again. can't believe how hard 3 or 4 miles is and so it might be while before I do a good 10K.
all the best and I look forward to hearing your next race results!
well done again !!
Angela
