Pitlochry 10kSeven folk in Harriers vests turned out last Sunday for the last of the club championship races and enjoyed a fast flat run on a lovely autumn day, albeit with a cold wind.184 runners finished and the race was won by Andrew Douglas of Caithness in 31.04, over 2 minutes clear of the next runner. Harriers finished: Will 12th in 38.04 (not bad after the Two Breweries the day before) Gordon 33 in 41.27 (new PB) Fred 42 in 42.14, 3rd MVint (ie over 60!) Al Nicholl 47 in a very creditable 42.44 Robbie Blackburn 73 in 45.30, 2nd MJ (and new PB) Ali Manners 96 in 47.29 Seonaid Roberts 150 in 55.45 Good effort all round, perhaps with some implications for the club championship? Wow that winning time was pretty impressive. When the winner flew past me when I had just passed the 4 k marker, I could not believe the pace he was going. To have a two minute gap on the 2nd place runner is an impresive gap over 10k.
More speed work required for your truly!!!
