Perth Ultra 24 hours

I managed to cover 106.74 miles (just over 72 laps) in the 24 hours.  Full report on my blog www.whwrunner.blogspot.com  There is a good picture of my feet just after the race finished on Alison's blog www.whwracebackup.blogspot.com

Very well done Ian, i don't know how you did it! Sorry we didn't get through to see you but we did think about you regularly during the day. I had a look at Alison's blog and your feet look awful Mad, i don't know how you can put yourself through that discomfort, that's probably why i'm not an ultra distance runner! Wink

Hear, hear!

This a really tremendous feat (and feet) of endurance. Just the mental side of running 72 times around a 2K course just boggles the mind even without half your foot dropping off along the way http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vIQ0p-h...i0/r_Wx5Q5kt-c/s1600-h/perth5.jpg

Even for an ultra-runner you're a nutter!

Well done and now put what's left of your feet up for while.

I'm speechless- what an achievement, very impressive,

It also adds a whole new dimension to the why question I often wonder why I run but to have the mental strength and endurance to run that distance with those feet is amazing- which also raises the question- what is next???

you look a bit pensive in the first photo Ian

well done (i wonder how long your rest will actually last)
