National Cross Country, Falkirk, 21 FebruaryWill, Phil T, Gordon and I travelled to Falkirk today to take part in the main event of the cross country season, the national cross country championship. In a field of 413, Will was the first finisher in 127th place (44.51), I was next in 237th (49.26), Phil T was close behind in 249th place (49.50), and Gordon was 332nd in 53.37. It was a great day out and once again a fantastic, high profile event. Full results are here:

Great day out, as Ian says, over 1000 people taking part in a series of races during the day.
Just a quick mention that Fred McCain was running in the Senior Men's race too, albeit in a Haddington vest, and he finished in a very respectable 373th place in 56:52.

National XC ChampsI thought the conditions were excellent. I enjoyed my run and clocked my usual 56 min run (roughly the same time for the last 3 years), so moving into M60 age category has not had an affect yet! My next race is the Cupar 5ml Road Race on Saturday, out and back course on fairly flat road.
All the best
