Monday 28th October

Wow - an amazing turnout this morning on a lovely mild Autumn morning run around the 10k route back to front.  Running were Kaz, Fiona, Wendy, Liz, Colin, Judith, Patrick, Kona, Shelagh, Tracy, Karen Westley, Beth, Fran and Ali plus Dino, Spot, Ginty and Polly the hounds.  Very Happy

Kaz (still receovering from the flu) headed back along Laggan road at the end of Lady Marys along with Judith and Beth leaving the rest of us to complete the route.  Trees looking lovely and managed to get back to Taylor Park before the drzzle arrived to spoil things!

Yes - another lovely Monday morning added to for me by running to the start and back (can Judith & I continue not to use the car on Monday mornings, I wonder?).

Afterwards, Kona, Patrick and Wendy kindly invited me to share their run home which was very nice until Patrick illustrated a previous moment of suffering when running by remarking he remembered 'running like a pensioner'. Insensitive, I call that - I'll have to see if 'running like an Ulsterman' has any level of insult I can use in return....

Moments later, something flashed past me as I contemplated an early death getting up Craigard Road - when it slowed down from Warp Speed 6, it turned out to be Wendy. She continued the 'Support the Aged' project however and ambled with me to nearly home as I pondered my sanity.

I know why I look forward to Monday mornings so much...

Thanks + good luck

Thanks so much to Kona for running at a snails pace along side the river this morning and an even bigger thank you to  Beth and Judith for abandoning their hopes of a run and walking me back along Lady Mary's!

This flu' has been/continues to be a killer. Looks like I am out of the running equation for a wee while due to feeling like a rung out cloth!

Good Luck to Fiona this weekend. Don't listen to your nerves - you will be fine. Can't wait to hear all about it. Great effort Lady.

Monday Run's what a start to the week. (or end for some of my weeks?!)

Ulster says Yo!

Dear Colin,
Apologies - it seems the naturally cheery bonhomie and sunny humour for which Ulster is known may have momentarily deserted me.

Good to see, however, that you Yorkshiremen can still manage to laugh   Laughing
