Meall a' Bhuachaille and Tinto?

Still not sure if I will be going to Aviemore on Saturday to run the Meall a' Bhuachaille hill race - it partly depends on how my currently sore calf feels (no, that's not a euphemism). Anyone else planning to make the trip? (new course, 10k, 640m, 12.30 start)

However I definitely intend to go to deepest Lanarkshire on Saturday Nov 7th to run the Tinto Hill race, which starts at 2pm - it is a very runnable short race (7k, 460m ascent).
The SHR AGM takes place (briefly, I assume) after the Tinto race, and I'm thinking of staying for that, if only out of interest.
Please let me know if you are interested in going to the race, as I'd  welcome some company.

I am sure you would be just fine to do that race, Jack.

Good luck and enjoy.

Okay, so far we have four Harriers travellling from Strathearn to the Tinto Hill race - Will, James, Jack and me.

Will has kindly offered to drive, and the approximate departure time will be 11 am from Crieff, pick up in Muthill shortly thereafter, for a 2pm race start.

Jack, you can choose whether to run the senior race (minimum age 16) or do the Junior race which is 3.5 km with a climb of 240 m.

Allan, you mentioned in a post in August that Tinto was on your race programme, so will we see you there too?

Good luck and enjoy. Hope the weather is nicer to you than today!

I think i'll go for the senior run...

It will probably kill me but i want to see what i can do and trial by fire is always the best option for situations like that.

What a brill day.  Passed will on the way up he was going down, he must have got a great placing.

Gordon, you passed me on the way down I said Hi but you were going too fast.  I had you in sight for most of the downhill and nearly caught you at one point- but missed you at the end- you had a good race too.

I enjoyed it although my innov8 sole came apart on the way up Sad

Hope all is well with everyone.

regards

allan
