Glen Lednock 8.5 mile road raceDoug, Cathy and I were amongst the field of 39 who took part in this new race from Comrie, up the road to the Ben Chonzie car park, and back again. Like the Sheriffmuir race (which is organised by the same people) the route was good, the organisation was first class, and we were given a voucher from a free half pint of beer / juice at the end. I finished 6th in 57.22, and was almost 4 minutes faster for the 2nd half, which shows just how steep the hill is (or maybe shows I wasn't working hard enough on the way up). Not sure about Doug or Cathy's time, although Cathy picked up the first female vet's prize and Doug was heard to moan about going off too fast and running out of steam  It is a pity it clashed with our club weekend away, but definitely one for everyone to think about next year - in fact, given the fact it is such a local race and is on a Sunday, I would be happy to nominate it as a club championship counter
