End of term Easter run & lunch

Become a bit of a tradition now to have a social run and a spot of lunch before the start of the school holidays for the Monday runners.

So... before the school term finishes the plan is as follows:

Monday 30th March  - meet at the Famous Grouse Distillery car park - suggest 9.30/10  -precise time to be confirmed   - and then go for a longer run (1hr 30 ish).  Return to car park, change and then a spot of lunch at the distillery.  Run route to be decided but will be suitable for all!

All Harriers welcome! Very Happy

Thanks for organising that; I suspect I won't be able to run as running 35 miles the day before, but either way, I pop round to join you for food.

Looking forward to after the HF and I can regularly manage to make the Monday run again!

Judith and I will be there, fresh from visiting cafes with exotic substances in Amsterdam under the guise of seeing our daughter. If we seem to be flying, it'll only be us that think so. No doubt the run will be magic, with or without the assistance of mushrooms.  Looking forward to it already.

Update:

Plan is to meet at the distillery at 9.45 with a view to starting running at 10.  Aim to be back at distillery at 11.30, change and then have an early lunchat 11.45ish.  Options can include run only (if you have to get back for children or other commitments), lunch only or both whatever takes your fancy.  Also aim to pick a route which people can peel off from if they cannot do the whole route.

Look forward to seeing as many people there as possible!

Yum fun!

Thanks to Ali for organising this term's end of term run. Great route, especially heading down into the wee gorge to  find the hidden fairy bridge. Magic!

Lunch was really good at TFGE too.

I shall start thinking about next term's run. Does anybody have any burning desire to head anywhere new that they have always wanted to go to? (No foreign suggestions please!) Perhaps Aberfeldy, St Fillans, Lochearnhead or even a new route from Comrie. Actually as I think about it there is a lovely old Train track route from Lochearnhead. Any hoo - have a think as all suggestions will be gratefully received.

Really sad J&I had The Lurgi yesterday (now seems to have left J and just picking a fight with my immune system...).  Maybe we could prevail on you all to do it again when J&I are back to normal - and hopefully when Liz is also fit again. Fairies, magic and really cold water for me to plunge into - now which of those seems the most unlikely to be reality, I wonder...

On new places, what about from Callander through the Pass of Leny to Loch Lubnaig?  It's pretty flat and pretty pretty.  I've never walked that bit (let alone run it) but from the map there seem to be quite a few options for the fitter folk to peel off and rejoin whilst the O&S Section potter onwards (or backwards).

I'm up for the Lochearnhead railway line idea; I puff along anyway.  Any nice hostelries thereabouts to adjourn to afterwards?

Very Happy Colin
