Comrie Hills Relay 2009 - September 13thIt's that time of year again. Time for you to decide if you're going to put yourself forward for one of the teams or offer to help out with marshaling, catering or any of the many other jobs that need doing to make the race a success.
Further details on the event are at http://www.strathearnharriers.org.uk/comriehillsrelayrace.htm.
I will be sending out an e-mail to members shortly. When you receive it, it would be really helpful if you could let me know by August 7th at latest whether or not you will be available for selection or to help out.
The sooner we know who's running and helping the sooner we can select teams and everyone knows which leg they'll be on or what jobs they've got.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Are the race checkpoints shown on the harriers website up to date?
In particular, are the "Checkpoints" PDF and the individual leg map PDFs correct? I think Liz mentioned to me the other day that they weren't right for Leg 4...

Hi Kona
The checkpoints for leg 4 are correct the confusion last year was that a checkpoint from leg 3 which crosses leg 4 was in the wrong place as you cross the burn at the beginning of the leg. This caused me confusion as i didn't expect to see it there and wasn't sure if it was a leg 3 or 4 checkpoint.

Less than a week to go now and the forecast looks good (19 degrees and sunny!). Just a couple of quick notices:
1. As far as I'm aware, it seems that all 3 Harriers teams are 100% intact. Please can all runners confirm this by e-mail or text (check your e-mails for my mobile number) to me as soon as possible.
2. Could all marshals check the instructions sent to you by Phil T and make sure you know what time you need to be in position. If you've lost them or never received any, please contact Phil ASAP.
3. Could all runners make sure you are at Laggan Field by 9am to collect your race numbers and generally reassure me and Kaz that you've arrived in time! You need to wear club vests for the race and also please wear your club jackets if you have one.
4. After the event, we will be going for our now traditional post-race curry at Abi's. We will book a table for 7.30 so if you'd like to come along, please let me know sometime before the race so we can let them know how many to expect.
Thanks to all marshals for giving up your time to help out and good luck to all runners!
