Comrie Hills Relay 14th Sept

What a fantastic day!

It was perfectly organized with relatively few people going wrong or getting lost and another brilliant barbecue. As Phil said at the prizegiving, we have to thank all the marshals and caterers for making it such a special event.

And to top it all we had superb performances from all three Harriers teams. Special well done to the women's team who won the ladies team prize. For a club that only had 2 women members in total 4 years ago this really shows how far we've come.

It was brilliant to be able to field our strongest men's team - we've tried 8 or 9 times to get a full complement and always something's happened to prevent it. I always knew we would be a force to be reckoned with when we did and by finishing second by only 6 minutes over 42K to a very strong Carnethy team proves we really are getting up there.

But not to forget a really strong performance from our second men's team to finish 9th. There were some really good runs in this team too.

I really don't know how the day could be any better and this is me writing before we've been for a curry and few beers!

I have some photos and will try to get around to a proper report on the blog in the next few days...

Well chuffed!

I just wanted to say well done to the Ladies team.

Majorly proud of you. Haven't had access to the internet this week so I know it seems a bit late, but you all ran really well.

Who knows, if the ladies section continues to grow we could have 2 teams next year. I would really encourage this as the event was great fun and it was lovely to see the variety of standards from other teams from around the country.

Keep it in mind for the devil's burden....

Kaz.
