Cateran Trail raceYesterday I ran in the 55 mile Cateran Trail race, finishing 10th in 11 hours 34 minutes. Despite the lousy weather it was a really pleasant run in fantastic countryside. The soft ground made a nice change from the hard, stony surface on the West Highland Way, although it was a bit muddy and slippy in places. The 1,400 feet climb in the last 5 miles made for an interesting and challenging finish too...
I would definitely recommend this one next year for any of the club's ultra runners, looking to try something new. More details are on my blog:

Another notch on the stick and great you can still find the word 'pleasant' in your run report vocabulary.... Another 'well done'.
