Cold wind but clear sky and light till 6.30 ish - great reminder of the long evenings to come.

Five of us set off on the normal town route, for which a map is now on the website at http://www.strathearnharriers.org.uk/Criefftownroute.pdf

Wendy, Matt, Jim, Ian and I were joined part way round by Phil M and the pace stayed brisk to finish at the Rec by 6.55.

Jim left us at Dollerie Terrace to take a shortcut home, but Phil and I found him again 20 minutes later, "delayed" by talking with a chance-encountered acquaintance on the corner of Strathearn Terrace. Who'd have thought it?

After a chat with George last Monday, Judith and I had simultaneous brain seizures about joining The Mid-week Evening Crowd (at least now and then). It seems there are stirrings of a new Old & Slow Section ready to watch admiringly as the Young & Fast Section disappears into the evening mist only to be 'Catch-Up'-ed with outside Newstead (where coincidentally, in the Ground Floor flat, Judith and I and the girls started our Crieff homesteading in 1998).

Anyway, no early heart attacks please if unlikely faces appear out of the fading light one evening run-time.  We'll hover quietly and behave (possibly) before the start then follow respectfully. We might even manage not to get lost and somehow reappear at 'Catch-Up' ready to follow quietly again.......

If we skip off before the end back to home in Murrayfield Loan, don't be dismayed - there's only so many hills our poor little legs can deal with.

Very Happy Colin
