Any parent knows that one of the commodities most precious and prized by parents of young children is a good night’s sleep.
That’s exactly what Cath and I were looking forward to after a busy day, which had included a couple of hours marshalling at the Hairy Coo mountain-bike race at Comrie Croft a couple of weeks back. Having enjoyed the fresh air and warm autumn sunshine, we happily returned home for supper, then washed and brushed the whole family in the customary fashion before bed.
However, much to our disappointment and frustration, we were awoken 3 times that night, once by Kirsty, and twice by Ru. On the second occasion I asked Ru what was upsetting him.
He seemed quite disturbed and announced with considerable indignation that he’d had a nightmare, in which DIGBY HAD EATEN HIS TOASTIE!
DIGBY, HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING?!
