Lovely mild and sunny morning in Comrie brought out the club members in droves (or was it Phil's barbed posting last Sunday?) Digby was caught trying to escape up the lane towards Ochtertyre having given up on the rest of us after waiting until at least 20 seconds past 8am at Taylor Park. But after Jim, John B and I had bundled him into the car on the A85 we set off to Comrie.
There we met a tardy but most welcome Gordon looking fresh from his exertions yesterday at the Nationals and also Bobby Bolton on his Sunday morning paper run. He joined us for the first mile or two back to chez Bolton along the Ruchilside path.
The rest of us made our way up to Auchingarrich to rendezvous with Phil T and Ian B. From there we followed the path along to Mill of Fortune and back to Comrie along the Earn.
For 5 that spelled the end of the club run but 2 Phil's and Ian continued up to Braefordie and along to Turret before Phil M peeled off at Braidhaugh to allow Phil T and Ian to complete the circuit of the 20+ mile tour of Strathearn back to Auchingarich via Balloch.
Good turn out on a lovely day...that's what Sunday club runs are all about!
