|
|
We need to strim the section of the 10k route from Trowan Farm to Lady Mary's. In the past this has involved a few hours work by three or four people with strimmers, but of course the more strimmers there are the less time it takes.
I'm suggesting two possible slots for doing the work as follows:
- this Saturday morning, 27th June, start at 9 am
- next Wednesday evening, 1st July, start at 7 pm
Can I ask Harriers please to let me know (by reply to this posting or by email to info@strathearnharriers.org.uk)
- if you are available to help at either of these times
- whether you can bring a strimmer
- or if you can't help do the work but could provide a strimmer for someone else to use
Many thanks

I can do Wednesday evening. I am currently in possession of Shelagh's strimmer so should be able to bring that along. I'll check with her first though.
This Saturday I will be heading down to Arrochar for a little pootle in the hills.

I could make next Wed as well. Not keen on Saturday am for various reasons.
A cold beer afterwards could go down well even if was "on site" as dusk comes over. Happy to provide said cold beers but only to genuine workers. |

Happy to help at either time. Unfortunately, I only have an electric strimmer and - having checked carefully - my extension cable won't reach that far. So if there are more petrol strimmers than bodies to wield them and I can help, let me know.

Colin, you could use my petrol strimmer if you want (and yes it is mine not Ian's!) _________________ What doesn't kill me makes me stronger! |

Thanks folks - lets make it Wednesday July 1st, meeting at 7pm at the end of the Trowan farm track.
Cold beer sounds a fine idea.
A couple more strimmers would really speed things up - any other volunteers out there? |

Can I suggest a few pairs of secateurs as well - there are a few overhanging branches which might be a bit strimmer resistant.
I should be able to make Wednesday (avec secateurs). |

| Colin, will you collect the strimmer from Ali or do you want me to do that? |
