A good turn out this morning of Seonaid, Kona, Patrick, Colin, Judith Al and myself, despite the bank holiday keeping many mums at home.
Everyone set off at an incredible pace and I am afraid my poor battered legs could not keep up - in fact running the fling felt more comfortable! I am glad to say my legs eased off a little after the beach and by time we reached the turn around point on Lady Mary's I didn't feel quite as if I had two wooden legs attached to my body. None the less I knew that 3 miles would be plenty for me today so Al and I headed back along LM accompanied by Judith and Colin.
While everyone had been waiting for this 'old lady' to arrive and recover from the shock of feeling so uncomfortable, Jim McConnel caught us up so for the first time ever on the Monday run, I think, males and females were evenly matched in numbers.
Seonaid, Kona, Patrick and Jim headed off around the remainder of the 10k route I presume. I will leave them to fill in any events that occurred in the extra miles.
I was very glad to have decided on the 3 miles as by the time I got pack to the park the backs of my knees had had enough. Judith and Colin headed around LM again to add extra distance on the flat and save Judith's knee.
