Two-tone run this morning.  Jack and I appeared with Judith on her bike (cross-training to rest the still-irritating knee).  0925, the males decided to depart as no-one else seemed likely to come (maybe I was still thinking of Saturday's time trial no show).  Judith stayed for a while in case there were any late-comers who could be sent in our direction to catch us up.  We two having disappeared from view towards Culcrieff, Judith later reported that Sheila, Tracy and she-who-Judith-couldn't-remember-her-name arrived just a couple of minutes later.  Oh ye impatient men.  Or not-quite-punctual women.  Or both.

Anyway, the three ladies set off somewhere other than catch us up so I can't report their wanderings, only Jack's and mine.  (And Judith's, who went up to Turret dam - possibly to practice Leg 4 on two wheels.)

Jack & I went via the Culcrieff Road, Lover's Walk, Hosh, Ochtertyre, south side of the lake, across the A85 and then the Mad Signpost on the 10k run.  By this time, I thought Jack had had enough of being polite and ambling slowly alongside a geriatric so I suggested he run back to Taylor Park at his own pace, especially as he had a mother and car waiting for him.  In the event, I only arrived a couple of hundred metres or so behind him so I can only think that he stopped at a Starbucks for a cup of coffee or something, otherwise he'd have been long gone.

Judith reported the cross-training went well though there may be a sting in the tail.  She accosted Jack to substitute for her on the 22nd in the event of her knee failing its pre-race medical.  I suggested this would only be fair if Jack ran in a tight skirt and high heels.  I leave the rest of the members to vote on this suggestion.

Colin  Very Happy

Sorry to miss the run - hamstring very tight this morning and judging by yesterdays run needed to rest!
