4 Harriers took part in this years Loch Leven Half Marathon in very mixed conditions. There were 599 starters and 511 finishers and the race was won by Ross Houston, Central AC in 1:09:42. Frist female was Lisa Finlay in, Dumfriess 1:25:52
Harriers times and postitions were as follows:
Ali M 1:49:59 (1:49:50 chip) 288th (264th chip) 22nd 35+ F
Vic J 1:55:57 (1:55:27 chip) 350th (307th chip), 56th in 50+ M
Kathleen Campbell 2:02:33 400th (350th chip) , 41st 35+ F
Fiona Lyle 2:05:24 (2:04:45 chip) 429 th (373th chip) 33rd in 45+ F
The heavens opened to a deluge of rain at about mile 11 which made the last bit v tough, so completely drenched at the end . Well organised as per last year. Only issue would be the strange chip which you had to lace in to your shoe (???) which was a bit of a fiddle.

Well done all of you.
That deluge came over Dunkeld too - fortunately after I had finished sphering (giant inflatable ball that you climb into, get strapped into the inside and then get pushed down a hill in - v queasy tummy inducing!)
Hope the legs aren't too sore today.

I was at a hen weekend and it was the hen's choice of activity - actually she looked pretty much the colour I looked at the end of the fling after her shot! It was my friend who joined team kaz on the fling so when I told her that she looked that colour she reiterated that she was vert glad that we hadn't had an early hen party drink!

We also received a medal with a very strange image on it - a woman with a dress on and some stange headgear????Assume it is something historical to do with Loch Leven! |

Excellent results all round - though aren't our female runners entering the wrong categories? Surely they're much younger than that.... Must be the Strathearn air or something.
