Robbie Simpson (Deeside) won with a record beating 0:43:07 followed by Kenny Richmond (Bellahouston) and Oleg Chepelin (Shettleston) in this the 4th event of the SHR Bog & Burn series.

Chepelin is currently leading the series with 6 events still to come and the best 4 results counting towards the final score – so still plenty of opportunity for Harriers to take part.

Only the 1 Harrier listed at Kilpatricks yesterday evening.

Weather was warm but overcast which made for not bad running conditions and the ground was pretty dry as well which made it easier. It was my first time round and in wetter weather I could see it being a bit of a slog.

Placed 65th with a time of 1:03:50 which I was pleased with as had been targeting 1:06. 10k and 420m odd climb made this the longest hill race I’ve completed and I really enjoyed it – I’m starting to get a bit worried about my mental state Razz

Well done Matt! Glad to see you're being won over by the mud and masochism of hill running. Shall I pencil you in for Leg 3 on the Comrie Relay then?

I looked up the club championship rules and, sorry to be a "jobsworth", but Kilpatricks is listed as a BM hill race whereas the championship requires AM or AL to count. So, I'm afraid you'll just have to do Cort ma Law or Maddy Moss if you want points in both Bog and Burn and the Harriers champs...
