A great run this morning. 6 of us headed out. Phill M, Will, Gordon, Kona, Al and myself.
We had a wee change of plan from running from the Heritage and so we left from a wee village outside of Dunkeld called Butterstone and headed up into the hills/moorland. The heather was quite ferocious and bad washing planning had me with bare ankles: not to be advised!
It was pretty windy on the top of the little hill we had gone up, so we headed off as quickly as we possibly could over thigh high heather (OK, so it was only thigh high on me!)Once off the heather it was great fun bounding over the grass. It was a really pretty glen that we found ourselves in (can somebody help me out with the names) and the run back along the glen on trail and road was most pleasant.

Al and I are really looking forward to November's explore, especially as we hope to have 2 routes (easier low level and harder high level) from Bridge of Orchy. I really can't recommend them enough. As you all know, Al and I are not early risers, but it is only once a month and it is such a great feeling to get up and head out to a new area and explore it with fellow running nuts. So, 16th Novemeber, put it in your diary and come and join us - Surely the thought of some food in the Bridge of Orchy Hotel after a cracking run can get you up. Oh and please don't worry about keeping up, that is why there will be 2 runs, and I promise people won't leave you behind.

Kaz.

Thoroughly enjoyable run yesterday and great to explore a new area. I managed to take a few photos along the way that are now posted here http://picasaweb.google.com/McStecko/ButterstoneRun#.

They include evidence of why I won't have a career as a paparazzo! Glad everyone found it so amusing Embarassed

As Kaz says, the next one of these should be really good. November 16th - Start and finish at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel so handy for lunch afterwards too! More details to follow...

Looks like a good run - sorry I could not make it.

Al - most concerned about those flowery shorts you have on.  Did you run out and have to use a pair of Kaz's for the morning??!!

Embarassed

Ahem.  Yes, not my best pair.  A last minute rummage through the running gear drawer before the sun had come up meant my decision was a bit hasty!

Running trousers are on my up-coming birthday list.  Maybe I'll do a fashion show at the November club run - now there's an incentive for more of the ladies to come along  Wink

See you there!
Al
